Story
I'm running this year to challenge myself but also to challenge the status quo that demonises people seeking asylum.
When I've run in previous events for the ASRC, being in a crowd of people wearing the "Real Australians Say Wecome' shirts, I see people enacting a better way. Behind each runner is also a crowd of people throwing in $$$ because they couldn't be there on the day or because they care about the issue.
Why not join in anyway you can.
If I can bring a few more people along for that journey, I will run with a smile on my face.
I've already started training. Help me keep it up and help the ASRC turn this debate around.

ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
