Story

On October 16th TEAM HANDSOM is running the Melbourne Marathon (all 42.2kms of it!) to raise much needed funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

ASRC is an independent, community-lead organisation (exempt from the pressures of Government or the private sector), and for 15 years has been fighting for the human rights of refugees. During this time, over 10,000 people have been provided with sanctuary, support and hope by the ASRC, and thousands of asylum seekers have won their freedom through their work.

Your donation will help provide services to support people seeking asylum: legal representation, housing, health care, employment services, English language classes, food and advocacy.

This is your chance to do something to help refugees, rather than empathise but feel helpless, so make a difference by supporting TEAM HANDSOM in the RUN 4 REFUGEES!

Click DONATE now and do something amazing.

Thanks for your support!

ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.

As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.

We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
